Grouping by Topic Area/Function

Grouping your content by topic area/function allows users to navigate to the area based off interest. This allows them to find relevant information without needing to know who is responsible for the content. Other reasons for grouping content by topic area/function include:

  • content is not duplicated across multiple areas on the site
  • all information and data associated with a task/process can be in one location, e.g., new employee induction
  • one or more appropriate teams can be linked
