Project Roadmap

Structure & Design

Design inputs & outputs

Possible inputs

  • Brand guidelines
  • Brand assets, logos, fonts
  • Existing materials (annual reports, leaflets)
  • Themes from user research

Outputs

  • Design concepts - homepage, profiles and 2 to 3 page examples
  • Online style guide - a style guide is created and added to your intranet for internal content editors and designers to follow. For example:

Prototyping new features

The research provides insight into the design, content and functionality users require.

Post-research we create a range of possible development which we prioritise with stakeholders.

Wireframes are a simple skeleton of how pages might belaid out or structured. Wireframes are design-neutral, so fonts or colours are not the focus.

Wireframes can help spark discussions before the design is completed and/or before committing time to development.

See sample wireframes:

Card sort & site architecture

A card sort requires participants (approx 50)  to group and categorise information. This exercise helps us structure the site and label the pages and sections so that they make sense to the majority of users.
