APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) can be used to export data from a website or share information between two sites.
For example, you may already have team and service information on your organisation's website. In this situation we would simply sync the website data with the intranet's database.
This means you only upload / amend the information one location, but it will be up-to-date, accurate and searchable on both your website and intranet.
Note:
- Future changes to either the source data or the API are likely to affect the accuracy of the intranet data
- In these cases, any changes which need to be made to the API sync will be charged
