SMLWRLD provides sophisticated calendar functionality allowing administrators (or even end users) to create events on-the-fly. Events, like any other content, can have meta-data and tags which can be used to surface them in specific pages, calendars or users’ homepages. This metadata can also be used to filter the calendar in a search functionality. Keyword calendar search is also available.
Calendars can be added to a global homepage, or focussed around only events relevant to a specific section or subsection.

Each calendar event can be clicked on to see further details. Event details can include basic event information, description and location information (via an embedded Google Map).

In advanced event applications, SMLWRLD provides a full Events Management System (EMS) allowing users to self-subscribe to particular events and administrators to manage attendance (including setting limits to number of seats/availability and tracking the pre-and post-status of each attendee).
The SMLWRLD EMS automatically sends out customised and branded confirmation and reminder emails at various points running up to each event.
Each event can be added to a user’s personal calendar at the click of a button.
